Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2009, a Green Fields' tradition, will be held on Tuesday, January 20 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. This year's MLK Day is all about activism and provides students a learning opportunity about social activism and how to make a difference in the community.
"We hope to show students how to be an activist in their community and stand up for what they feel is important", explain event co-chairs Michelle Spector and Isabelle Heilman.
